Child Care Backs My Biz Week 2025

Child Care Backs My Biz Week

Child care isn’t just a family issue—it’s a business issue

California runs on child care

The Case for Care

When families can access affordable, reliable care, they can work, earn, and contribute to their communities—fueling businesses across the state.

But right now, child care challenges are holding us back. Nearly 1 in 4 parents has left a job because they couldn’t find care. That’s lost talent, productivity, and growth.

When employees have dependable care, businesses see lower turnover, stronger retention, and higher productivity.

The Call

What Did Business Leaders Do?
